This course teaches attendees how to write clear, persuasive, and fundable grant proposals for their Tribal-related projects. Attendees learn the entire grant lifecycle from finding the right funder to writing the final project narrative and budget.


Key Topics:


· Funder Research: How to find and analyze grantors that match your goals. Searching for federal grant opportunities online using grants.gov.

· Proposal Planning: How to read Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and plan projects to meet specific guidelines. Ensure that all criteria are addressed in the application.

· Narrative Design: How to write a strong needs statement, clear goals with achievable outcomes and deliverables.

· Budgeting: How to build project budgets that align with the work plan activities and meet the requirements in the notice for funding requests.

· Assurances & Forms: Review of all forms that are required for submission of funding proposal and how to make sure all requirements are met.

· Evaluation: How to measure project success and report outcomes back to the funder.

· Review: Explanation of what the grantor looks for and how applications are reviewed.
