Road Safety Audits (RSA) provide an additional tool for roadway safety analysis. These are a formal safety performance examination of an existing or future road or intersection by an independent, multidisciplinary team. The team may include safety, operations, maintenance, and law enforcement officials. RSAs help answer what elements of the road may present a safety concern and, to what extent, to which road users, and under what circumstances. RSAs are a very low-cost countermeasure. The use of RSAs is increasing across the United States, in part due to crash reductions of up to sixty percent in locations where they have been applied. Join our RSA classroom team to learn the steps of a Road Safety Audit and how to execute them to make your roadways safer.
